During COVID, we set up a big workout area in our basement. It became the "family fitness center".
The commute is awesome, with minimal friction. It's hard to justify not exercising by claiming "I don't feel like walking downstairs".
It’s been great for a long time, but my wife recently rejoined the gym we used to belong to, which inspired me to do the same.
I’m pretty disciplined in my workouts. But, going back into a public gym with all the energy from the people was great!
I don’t know why this surprised me?
I do appreciate the remote access to many things COVID brought. But, I now prefer face-to-face more than before COVID. For me, face to face or more powerful and more connecting.
I feel the energy of the people around me. They are working out and pushing to care for themselves and get in better shape. It is inspiring.
I also bump into friends there which fills my tank even more (although that expression should probably be - recharges my batteries).
I also got to check out the new Cryo Lounge - not very comfortable while you're doing it, but the outcome is less joint pain!
