๐ You got a vision.
๐ You got a dream.
๐ You're living your life with purpose.
How do you maintain momentum when driving towards something new?
One thing that can drain you more than failure itself, is ๐ป๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐.
Negativity from:
๐ Friends and colleagues
๐ Loved ones
๐ In teams (be careful with thisโฆit can fester like an infection)
Negativity (or s@$t) can chip away at your confidence and make you question what you are doingโฆ.and the people youโre interacting with will feel that.
The other killer is the negativity between your own ears.
This reminds of that famous quote from Henry Ford.
โWhether you think you can, or you think you canโt, youโre probably rightโ
But if youโre clear on your vision and your purpose, why youโre working towards these goals, this will push you past the doubts and the likely unreasonable expectations of how fast you want things to happen.
So, leave the manure for your plantsโฆmove away from it and call it out on those around you.
Surround yourself with positivity:
๐ Stay committed to yourself, your purpose and your vision.
๐ Seek out mentors, coaches, people who believe in you and what youโre doing.
Vision and Purpose are a powerful force and in my experience they are contagious to those around you.
I had self doubt when I first started performing, my first software engineering job, fighting cancer, becoming a father, starting businesses (some failed, some succeeded)โฆ
In every case,
๐ it was not a straight line.
๐ It was a bumpy road
๐ โฆand it turned out better than I could have imagined.
