Excited for the start of a new week, but your schedule has other plans? Use tactical and mindset reframing to change the chaos into opportunity!

Did you ever look at your calendar at the beginning of the week and feel:

→ Overwhelmed already

→ No time for focus

→ Priorities slipping away

→ Feeling trapped

I like to review my calendar for the week on Sunday evenings to plan out the best use of my time and to see if anything needs adjusting.

When I looked at this week, I was completely booked. We have our quarterly strategy sessions and planning meetings for the end of the year.

Coming off a week of learning and inspiration at the EO Nerve conference, I was pumped to share what I learned. I have a lot of new ideas and want to talk about the people I met.

My initial feelings were similar to what I described above.

I knew I had to reframe and adjust in two ways:

→ Tactically

→ Mindset

Tactically I found some spots in the agenda to review the most important takeaways that I wanted to share with my team.

Mindset wise, instead of seeing my committed time as a negative, I realized what better opportunity could there be than to discuss these learnings and ideas but with my executive team all together.

These simple activities shifted my energy away from feeling stuck and back into opportunity.

Next time you feel your calendar owns you, try some tactical and mindshift work to reframe the chaos.
